Choral Reading

The ZULA Choral Reading is a biannual public read-along event that brings together children, families, educators, and community members to celebrate reading. Open to everyone, it promotes joyful and inclusive literacy experiences while working to close the reading proficiency gap and ensure all children have access to books, stories, and a supportive reading community.

Through this initiative, ZULA partners with underserved schools to provide free books, build Tiny Libraries, and diversify existing collections. At the ZULA Choral Reading, children from all backgrounds read together under the motto
“I read because you read,” creating an inclusive, non-judgmental space where every voice matters and reading becomes a shared act of empathy and empowerment.

This is the ZULA Magic: a community reading together, learning together, and growing together
One voice, one book, one heart.
If your school would like to join the ZULA Choral Reading initiative, register your interest and explore partnership opportunities
