The Creative Tribe
We call this shared creative journey the
Book-A-Thon
The ZULA Creative Tribe is a vibrant community of storytellers, illustrators, and dreamers on a mission to transform how children’s books are created. We bring together professional creators and aspiring artists who collaborate to craft diverse, inclusive stories that every child can love and see themselves in.
At its core, the Creative Tribe amplifies underrepresented voices, writers and illustrators whose stories deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated. Together, we are reimagining the book creation process, making it more collaborative, equitable, and reflective of our world’s many cultures and perspectives.
We call this collective creative journey the Book-A-Thon.

Book-A-Thon
(Mentorship Program)
This is an annual project, and its first edition in 2024 produced ten unique and touching children´s stories. Some of the participants already had experience, while others worked on a book for the very first time.
Together, they were guided, supported, and inspired by us -with the goal of overcoming traditional barriers in publishing and creating space for new voices.
The stories that emerged are about love, family, adventure, magic, activism, courage, belonging, and much more. They present children aged 0 to 12 with diverse worlds and possibilities, inviting them to empathize, discover, and dream.
We call these books the ZULA Originals.
