Classes for Young Writers

In our Creative Writing workshops, kids and teens are given space to explore their ideas, develop their voices, and share their work with peers under the guidance of a published author or produced playwright. These multi-genre workshops invite young writers to experiment with fiction, memoir, playwriting, screenwriting, and more.

Our workshop model empowers kids and teens as peer leaders while building skills in writing, editing, analysis, and communication. In the future, we aim to create a vibrant community where young writers can connect, collaborate, and grow through their shared love of storytelling.

Our workshops are:

  • Fun, engaging, and highly productive

  • Student-centered and led by professional authors

  • Safe, supportive spaces where writers learn to give and receive thoughtful feedback

  • Workshops can take place as school field trips, after-school sessions, or weekend classes.

We motivate writers to set personal goals and support them in creating at least one polished, well-developed piece by the end of the workshop. Along the way, fun and purposeful writing games help participants strengthen their craft, discover new genres, and deepen their understanding of character, voice, and narrative.
